11th ACFIC Standing Committee Holds 10th Meeting in Yinchuan
ACFIC Chairman Wang Qinmin urged the country’s business circle to get a clear understanding of the economic situation and firm up their confidence against the backdrop of an overall stable to sound economy and unwavering government policy support at the closing session of the 10th meeting of the 11th ACFIC Standing Committee in the capital city of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region on July 12.
Wang analyzed that the Chinese economy has achieved a rational growth rate and a quality lift. He said entrepreneurs must innovate to move up from the low end to the high end of the value chain; they must strive to become the professional benchmark of their sectors; they must develop low-carbon circular economy to achieve integration of environment protection and economic benefit; they must integrate into informization to harness the huge market space and business opportunities brought by the next informization-driven industrial revolution; they must participate in Belt and Road construction and the international productivity and business collaboration with other countries to achieve structural upgrade, while big enterprises should be encouraged to lead SMEs to go global and compete as an alliance.
The two-day meeting, which was attended by ACFIC and ACGCIC chairman, vice-chairmen, as well as senior local officials, United Front Work Department officials and ACFIC General Secretary and Department Heads, focused on implementation of the tasks outlined in Chinese President Xi Jinping’s speeches, and study of CPPCC Chairman Yu Zhengsheng’s speech at the May 27 Younger-generation Entrepreneurs’ Faith and Ideal Report Conference, and United Front Work Minister Sun Chunlan’s speech to ACFIC department heads and senior officials early this year.
The meeting also highlighted the measures of continuously deepening political education for entrepreneurs and carrying out the ACFIC agenda for 2017, which includes preparation for the 12th National Congress of the Chinese Federations of Industry and Commerce, efficient and high-quality implementation of the 10,000 Enterprises Assist 10,000 Villages Program, taking the publicity campaign for the rule of law to enterprises and Chambers of Commerce, leadership change in provincial FICs, third-party evaluation of the implementation of “mass innovation and entrepreneurship” policies and measures, improvement of diverse services for enterprises, construction of four-merit COCs, and solid implementation of (enterprises’) property rights protection measures.
Rules of Formation, Composition and Quota Distribution for the 12th ACFIC Executive Committee and Standing Committee Members was approved and ACFIC CPC Secretary Xu Lejiang was elected ACFIC Executive Vice Chairman and ACGCIC Vice Chairman.
